Workshops & Lectures for Companies
Pavel Smokotnin, sound engineer, programmer, and creator of Open Sound Meter,
has been conducting technical workshops and lectures for many years on topics such as acoustic measurement, system tuning, and the physics of sound.
He works with rental companies, integrators, distributors, and professional sound engineers
who want to deepen their understanding and achieve more consistent, repeatable system setups.
All sessions take place on site – with live demonstrations, real measurement setups, and plenty of room for discussion and analysis.
Typical topics include:
- Setting up and performing acoustic measurements
- Understanding measurement data: what amplitude, phase, and coherence really show
- Dealing with reflections, interference, and delay times
- Practical system tuning – from preparation to fine adjustment
- Subwoofer arrays (cardioid, end-fire) and proper measurement workflow
- Efficient use of Open Sound Meter in daily work
- Documentation and comparison of measurements between projects
